GROWING creative agency Keltie Cochrane is taking a bite of the action at the newly refurbished Toffee Factory site in Ouseburn.
Toffee Factory, designed as a hub for creative and digital business, has already attracted several different companies to sign up for the spectacular space it offers and the Keltie Cochrane team will join them before the end of this year.
Currently based at the Gateshead International Business Centre, Keltie Cochrane is known more Stateside than it is currently in its native North East.
Founded in 2008 by Ian Keltie and Jason Cochrane, their creative talents have been sought out time and time again by international clients from America and Europe for their impressive talents in digital and illustrative design.
With commissions from Rolling Stone magazine and Time Out New York, and global giants ESPN and the Wall Street Journal also among their client list, the agency made its first move two years ago to a bigger space in the Gateshead International Business Centre, this coincided with managing director Richard Jefferson joining the company as a third partner. The time has come again for another upsize to aid its future plans to recruit more talent to its team.
Keltie Cochrane creative director Ian Keltie said: “We are really excited to be moving in alongside other creative companies at Toffee Factory.
“It was an obvious choice for us as the style and spec of the offices will be a great representation of our agency when meeting clients, and a superb place to work, think and be creative.
“The other great aspect of working at Toffee Factory is that we will be surrounded by other creative people, which will be quite an inspiring environment to work in and should see some collaborative work borne out of getting to know the neighbours.”
“Our new office will be more than twice the size of our current space at 843 square feet, giving us plenty of room to expand as we start to target the UK market.
“We currently have a team of six and expect to take on at least a further two very soon. We are also developing the business by remodelling the team into three separate specialist areas; design, digital, and advertising and marketing to be able to offer a full service creative agency approach to local companies too. So a move to such a high profile space now will act as a catalyst to achieving where we see ourselves in the future.
“The Toffee Factory has bikes available for travel in and out of the city centre, it also offers fantastic exhibition space, as well as a roof garden with outdoor broadband connection and power sockets; meaning in the summer months we can work outside whenever we want.
“Of course we are moving into the new office in December so we might not be venturing outside straight away, but it will make a great fresh start to 2012 for us, which we predict to be an exciting year for Keltie Cochrane.”
