Meet the Partners & Stakeholders
1NG's founding partners are One North East, Gateshead Council and Newcastle City Council.
Gateshead Council and Newcastle City Council have, over many years, developed a close working relationship collaborating on issues that impact on both sides of the river Tyne. The Councils have established a high level forum - the Gateshead Newcastle Partnership, to oversee a number of cross river collaborations including 1NG. The Gateshead Newcastle Partnership is also overseeing work on a combined Joint Core Strategy that will be incorporated into a NewcastleGateshead Local Development Framework - this visionary approach will ensure that planning matters are aligned and coordinated across both local authorities.

Stakeholders
Newcastle University|
Newcastle University is one of the UK's leading universities with a reputation built on the quality of their teaching, outstanding research and their work with the community and industry. 1NG is providing development management services for Science Central - a project in which the University is a key stakeholder and funder.
Homes and Community A|gency
|The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is the national housing and regeneration delivery agency for England. Their role is to create thriving communities and affordable homes. They work nationally but support the ambitions of local partners to provide better places that offer great homes and good jobs. HCA has supported the prepartion of the 1PLAN and is a stakeholder and funder of 1NG's projects at the Ouseburn.
Newcastle Science City|
The aim of Newcastle Science City is: ‘to establish Newcastle as one of the world’s premier locations for the integration of science business and economic development. It aims to break down the barriers between science and the wider community, in ways that everyone in the city of Newcastle and across the whole of the North East region can contribute to and benefit from. Newcastle Science City's Board provides strategic oversight of the Science Central project managed by 1NG.
